How to play

The objective of the game is to roll your bowls as close as possible to a smaller ball called the jack.

The closest woods win points.

The best way to learn is simply to turn up to the green and watch us play. We'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

One we get asked: "How do you make bowls turn?" The answer - we don't, that's just how they roll

We're at the green for competitions and matches throughout the week, but the best time is when we are practising ("rolling-up") on Tuesday or Thursday morning after 10 a.m.  Come along any week from the end of April.
